Keegon Schuett is a gender non-conforming playwright from Memphis, Tennessee. Their play this dry spell won the 2024 Yale Drama Series, and their work often explores queer identity, desire, and the tension between intimacy and self-protection through poetic and theatrical forms.

Their plays have been produced by Emerald Theatre Company and developed with Chicago Dramatists, Curious Theatre Company, and Voices of the South, where they are a resident writer. They were a 2025 fellow at MacDowell, where they developed Stupid & Sullen, a one-person play inspired by the life of Mary Toft. Additional development includes the Inc. New Play Incubator with Theatre L'Acadie.

Selected works include A Life of Luxury, a melodrama inspired by the true story of Penelope the Platypus; Goddess of Tears; and Chicken, which premiered at Quark Theatre. Their plays are published by YouthPLAYS and Yale University Press.
